The Client

BP Healthcare Group, one of Malaysia's foremost integrated healthcare provider and the largest diagnostic chain in the country and South East Asia with core competence and innovative strength in diagnostic, laboratory and medical technologies, together with other complementary specialized healthcare services. It is the group's ultimate aim to provide one-stop integrated healthcare solutions to its customers through interlinked support from the companies within the group.

For corporations, the services they offer include pre-employment, panel ship, occupational health and safety and employee health screening. These not only include professional medical consultation and dispensing, but also vaccinations, preventive health checks and screening tests, wellness coaching and complementary distribution of health education materials.

The Challenge

BP Healthcare Group required an application to record, manage and generate complex reports on audiometric tests taken on patients. The test data saved in the database were required to be analyzed and compared with the baseline test of the patient and a comparative report was to needed to generate with information to doctors to decide on what kind of health care to be given to the patients.

The system needed to be highly data oriented and analytical in nature. It required to design a highly flexible and extendible database to support various reporting features.

Solution

Audiometric Testing Analysis System (ATAS), a browser based application was developed that helps BPHealthcare Group clinics to manage their patients and corporate client employees’ Audiometric Test data and reports. The system provides a structured approach to track and manage the business flow, and thus increase the efficiency of the process.

ATAS facilitated centralized controlled and supervision of the application users, data and reports, efficiently, and enables a centralized archiving of test reports.
